A new independent analysis has predicted that the amount staked with illegal gambling operators in the UK could reach £33bn in just two more years.
With the figure for 2025 at £17bn, H2 Gambling Capital (H2GC) predicts the figure will almost double by 2028, with almost one fifth (19.2 per cent) of all online betting and gaming stakes possibly being placed with unsafe, unregulated black market operators.
